Welcome

We’re here to innovate, enable and increase investor action on inequality.

vision

Our vision is a future where finance is harnessed in service of advancing equality and human rights.

mission

EIIP exists to build the field, and drive increased use of, investing for equality impact. To do this, we bring equality and human rights actors together with social and impact investors to:

• Better understand inequality challenges and opportunities where investors can make a difference

• Pioneer new policy and practice responses

• Share and promote promote learning to influence wider change

Our approach is evidence-based and open minded, concerned with all dimensions of inequality, its root causes and always focused on increasing the flow of finance to the heart of the matter.

As far are possible we try to work through existing investment and equality ecosystems, creating new initiatives only where these draw on and add value.

activities

EIIP is currently delivering four main types of activities. Read about our main projects here

Co-ordination: We convene a UK EII Taskforce where investment and equality sectors share and collaborate on the task of taking this agenda forward. We also connect and facilitate collaboration between initiatives within and across these sectors; linking with others in the wider inclusive economy and sustainable development fields.

Capacity Building: We provide training, advice, support and resources to build the capacity of social impact investors to apply EII principles and strategies. We are offering an EII training programme for social and impact investors and our website acts as a one-stop-shop and resource hub for the growing EII community.

Convening: We convene and support dialogue and development in a range of areas that are essential to build the wider conditions for the field of EII. These include policy, impact management and professional EII standards and development. In March 2021, we are hosting a strategic convening to explore how EII can advance the UK’s Levelling Up agenda.

Research and Development: Further exploration of issues and opportunities that have been generated through our stakeholders work, and developing and testing new solutions.
