VCSE Equalities organisations play a critical role in the wider impact economy – working with and advocating for groups and communities with the least power and resources in our society. However, research tells us they are accessing less enterprise development grant funding than non-equality focused organisations whilst also struggling to sustain themselves. Some also want to decrease their dependence on traditional grant funding. Pilot equalities-focused enterprise grant programmes such as Access’s and Equally Ours Equalities Enterprise Development programme have generated valuable learning which we will include in our analysis.
